Account Executive
At Cobalt Public Affairs, we're on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic account executive to join our team. As a key player in our mission to shape public opinion and tackle complex challenges, you'll be at the forefront of our work at the intersection of public affairs, politics, and crisis communications. Your role will be instrumental in crafting and executing strategies that make a real difference. Our key focuses include issue advocacy, litigation support, corporate reputation, thought leadership, and media relations.

Draft press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, and Q&A documents.
Conduct media outreach, track coverage, and build custom media lists.
Prepare clients for media interviews and speaking events.
Generate creative ideas to drive energy around client priorities.
Participate in developing communications plans to meet client objectives.
Collaborate with creative professionals to develop compelling social media and collateral content.

3-5 years of experience in a public affairs agency, political campaign, government office, or in-house corporate communications.
Strong relationships with California’s news media and ability to pitch stories effectively.
Outstanding writing skills.
Highly motivated and hardworking, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Creative mindset, eager to learn, and open to innovation.
Familiarity with social media trends.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, political science, or a related field.
