Cobalt Public Affairs Welcomes Allen Young as Vice President

SACRAMENTO—Cobalt Public Affairs, a leading public affairs firm specializing in strategic communications, reputation and crisis management, and issue advocacy, is pleased to name Allen Young its Vice President.

Allen brings extensive experience in both public affairs and journalism, having served as a press secretary to California Attorney General Rob Bonta, former Attorney General Xavier Becerra, and State Senator Dave Cortese (D-San Jose). Allen has also built a distinguished career as a political journalist in Sacramento, most recently serving as the interim host of Insight, the flagship public affairs show of CapRadio, Sacramento’s National Public Radio affiliate.

As Vice President, Allen will leverage his deep knowledge of state and local government to support Cobalt’s mission of helping organizations frame public discourse while achieving their policy, business, and reputational goals.

“We’re delighted to add Allen to our growing team at Cobalt Public Affairs,” said Amy Thoma Tan, the firm’s Founder and Managing Partner. “Allen’s proven track record in crafting impactful narratives and navigating California’s complex political and media landscape will strengthen our ability to shape public opinion and deliver senior-level counsel and innovative strategies for our clients.”
